Mandy + Paul July 8, 2017

We first met Mandy and Paul about a year ago, for their engagement shoot in Downtown Ottawa. They were so naturally in love, and as we watched the two of them together, we knew that they were meant to be.

Their wedding fell on a warm summer day in Ottawa, Ontario. As Mandy got ready at the hotel with the ladies, Paul got ready at his house with the guys, nervously awaiting the moment that he would see Mandy in her dress for the first time. The guys travelled to the hotel, where Mandy hid behind a closed door, as Paul completed tasks as part of a door crash to earn the first look with his soon-to-be wife. Mandy looked stunning in her dress, and both were emotional when the door finally opened.

We captured portraits within the fields of the Experimental Farm, as the moody clouds shifted overhead. Next, Mandy and Paul greeted their guests at a tea ceremony, where tea was served, and gifts and well wishes were exchanged. Mandy and Paul then shared heartfelt vows in front of their close family and friends, and embraced for the first time as husband and wife. They exited the ceremony to thunderous applause, as bubbles floated all around them.

As the sun set and the reception began, Mandy and Paul danced for the first time as if on a cloud, as a smoke machine filled the dance floor. Dinner was served, as stories about Mandy and Paul were shared. And as the party began, Mandy and Paul surprised their guests with a games room, and their guests played games and danced the night away.

Congratulations Mandy and Paul!

Special thanks to Courtney and Ryan for all of their help.
