Mathieu + Rachel June 9, 2017

Mathieu and Rachel are kind, caring, and funny, and we had a blast filming their wedding at Le Belvedere, the infamous cliffside wedding venue just outside of Ottawa.

On a beautifully sunny early June morning, each got ready in separate rooms of the nearby guesthouse, surrounded by forest; Mathieu with his guys, and Rachel with her girls and her dad.

They travelled a short distance to the stunning Wakefield Covered Bridge that stretches over the Gatineau River for their first look nearby. We filmed as the two of them walked together through the red, wooden bridge, the bottom of Rachel's dress dancing as they stepped. We followed them to a nearby forest, where they walked the short path along a small stream.

Back at Le Belvedere, Rachel's dad walked her down the aisle as the sun shone bright overhead and the wind whistled through the rolling hills below. Mathieu spoke of the first time that they met, and Rachel spoke about how there are no words to describe how someone so special to you makes you feel. They embraced for the first time as husband and wife, and as they walked up the aisle, they were surrounded by bubbles that their guests blew in congratulations.

After guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'ouvres on the deck, they enjoyed a beautiful evening of dinner, speeches, and dancing as the sun set. And as the party ensued, Mathieu and Rachel slipped out to enjoy the fire, and to dance under the moon as it rose on their first night as husband and wife.

Congratulations Mathieu and Rachel!!
