Chantelle + Jacob September 23, 2017
Chantelle and Jacob both grew up in Owen Sound, Ontario. As we ourselves grew up in rural Ontario, there are few things that we enjoy more than a local backyard wedding. At Chantelle's aunt's property overlooking a valley in the countryside just outside of Chatsworth, ON, Chantelle began her morning getting ready with her bridesmaids (and bridesman!). Chantelle was glowing as her mom and sister helped her into her dress. Next, we took off for Chantelle's parents' house, just down the road. There, Jacob helped their 18 month-old son, Jaxson, into his dress shirt and shoes, as he and his groomsmen got ready for the day.
Later that that morning, Jacob waited in the field outside of the counrty house as Chantelle approached for their first look. Both of them were overcome with emotion at seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. We then tagged along as they explored the rolling fields and sunlit forests surrounding the property.
Under a homemade arbor, and in front of their closest family and friends, Jaxson joined as Chantelle and Jacob declared their vows. To loud cheers and applause, Chantelle and Jacob shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
As the evening began, their guest enjoyed dinner as stories were shared about Chantelle and Jacob. We later slipped out for a few minutes, and Chantelle and Jacob chased the sun as it was setting over the horizon. An epic night of dancing ensued, and as the night grew late, Chantelle and Jacob watched on on their very own fireworks show, celebrating their first night together as husband and wife.
